Kastle Back to Work Barometer: City-by-City Views of America’s Office Use

“To provide some clarity on the issues facing American businesses, Kastle Systems has been studying keycard, fob and KastlePresence app access data from the 3,600 buildings and 41,000 businesses we secure across 47 states. We’re analyzing the anonymized data to identify trends in how Americans are returning to the office.

The nation bounced back from its election week occupancy drop, with the 10-city national average back to 27% — regaining the 1.9% lost the week before. In fact, every city measured on the Barometer experienced a rise in occupancy last week.

The greatest increases in building occupancy came from New York, with a 4.2% rise to 17.3%, and Chicago, with a 3.4% rise to 19.6%. Dallas continues to lead as the most open city on the Barometer at 42.2% open, with Houston closely following at 39.7% open. [Los Angeles metro is currently at 34.1%]”
